Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is in custody in connection with Jharsuguda P.S. Case No. 194 of 2022 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 857 of 2022 pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Jharsuguda for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 370/506/120-B of IPC.

Considering the seriousness of the allegations and the existence of material prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail. It is however submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has a small child aged about four years and that she is required to look after her

or at least to make arrangement for the child’s resident etc, while she is in custody.

Considering the above fact, the bail application is disposed of with a direction to learned court below to release the petitioner on interim bail for a period of two months on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by her in the aforesaid case including the following conditions:-

(i) She shall appear before the court below on each date of posting of the case personally and in case of even a single default, necessary order shall be passed to take her into custody again.

(ii) Learned court below shall insist upon two sureties out of whom one must be close blood relation of the petitioner.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
