ORDER 28.09.2021 Heard Mr. S.P. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. G.R. Mohapatra, learned Additional Standing Counsel through video conferencing mode.
According to Mr. Das, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities more particularly the Collector-cumDistrict Magistrate, Jharsuguda (opposite party no.2) in not extending the benefits of “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana” to the petitioner. During course of hearing, he submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the Collector and District Magistrate, Jharsuguda (opposite party No.2) highlighting all her grievances by filing a grievance petition and further prays that the said opposite party be directed to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a grievance petition before the Collector and District Magistrate, Jharsuguda (opposite party No.2) through Registered Post within two weeks along with

a copy of this order. In the event, such a grievance petition is filed, the said opposite party is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
