Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to regularize the service of the petitioner as peon in the office of the Anugul Municipality with all consequential accrued service benefit on the basis of principle spelt out in Secretary, State of Karnatak v. Umadevi , (2006) 4 SCC 1, State of Karnatak v. M.L. Keshari , 2010 (II) OLR SC 482 and Amarkanti Ray v. State of Bihar in Civil Appeal No. 2835 of 2015 on the strength of long standing service/uninterrupted service as against the substantial post of peon in the Angul Municipality.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that highlighting the grievance, the petitioner has made representation to the opposite party no.1 vide Annexure-11 and direction be given to the said opposite party to consider and dispose of the same.

In view of the aforesaid limited grievance of the petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing the opposite party no.1 to take a decision on the representation filed by the petitioner vide Annexure-11 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified/ authenticated copy of this order by the petitioner.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a print out of the order available in the High Court’s website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed, vide Court’s Notice No.4587 dated 25^th March, 2020, as modified by Court’s notice no. 4798 dated 15^th April, 2021.
