Heard Mr. S.K.Joshi, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr.K.K.Nayak, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
This appeal has been preferred by the appellant- Chitrasen Rana under Section 14(A)(2) of SC & ST (POA) Act in connection with Kesinga P.S. Case No.145 of 2014 corresponding to C.T. Case No.09 of 2015 (Spl. Act) pending in the Court of learned Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Bhawanipatna for commission of offence punishable under Section 376-D of I.P.C. read with Section 3(2)(v) of SC & ST (POA) Act.
Mr. S.K.Joshi, learned counsel for the appellant states that in the meanwhile the appellant has been acquitted and hence the CRLA has become infructuous and he has filed a memo to that effect.
Considering the aforesaid submission, the CRLA is dismissed, as infructuous.
