Petitioners in this writ petition seek for a direction to the opposite parties to provide them the benefit under the Resettlement and Rehabilitation Policy of 2006.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that the lands of the petitioners were acquired by the Government for construction of Rengali Dam in the district of Dhenkanal and Sambalpur over river Brahmani. The Government of Odisha came with a policy i.e. Orissa Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy of 2006 to get the benefit by the affected persons. He further submitted that earlier petitioners have approached this Court in W.P.(C) No. 17541 of 2012 along with batch of writ petition which were disposed of on 11.4.2014. Since the petitioners have not received any benefit under the Orissa Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy of 2006 they have filed the present writ petition.
Considering the above limited nature of prayer of the petitioners and without going into the merit of the case, we dispose of the writ petition with an observation that in case the petitioners file a representation before opposite party Nos. 3 and 4 i.e. Collector, Angul and Land Acquisition Officer, Angul in such event the representation of the petitioners shall be considered in accordance with the law and dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from

the date of filing of such representation.
