Heard Mr. Kejirwal, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. S. Palit, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. A. Pal, learned counsel for opposite parties no. 1 to 3.
The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite parties to call the petitioners for interview test for selection for the post of Railway Protection Force and after qualifying the test, their seniority for the purpose of training and service may be counted from 23.09.1995 onwards.
Mr. A. Pal, learned counsel for opposite parties no. 1 to 3 submits that in the meantime 29 years have passed and with efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.
Considering the above contention, the writ petition has become infructuous after lapse of 25 years, as such the same is disposed of as infructuous.
The interim order passed earlier stands vacated.
