Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Jyotsna Rani Tripathy, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the Vigilance Department.
This is an application under section 439 Cr.P.C. in connection with V.G.R. Case No.12 of 2020 arising out of Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.12 of 2020 pending in the Court of learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar for offence punishable under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
The petitioner moved an application for bail before the Court of learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar which was rejected on 29.05.2020.
Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 29.05.2020, investigation of the case has made substantial progress and there is no chance of absconding and the petitioner is ready and willing to cooperate with the investigation and on hearing the learned counsel for the Vigilance Department, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
Let the petitioner be released on bail in the aforesaid case on furnishing bail bond of Rs.50,000.00 (rupees fifty thousand) with two solvent sureties each for
the like amount to the satisfaction of the Court in seisin over the matter with further terms and conditions as the learned Court may deem just and proper.
The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
A free copy of the order be handed over to the learned counsel for the Vigilance Department .
