The petitioner in this writ petition has prayed for early disposal of R.P. Case No. 447 of 2012 stated to be pending before opposite party no.1-Commissioiner of Land Records and Settlement, Odisha, Cuttack.
Taking into consideration the innocuous nature of the prayer made, no fruitful purpose would be served in issuing notice to the opposite parties and keeping the matter pending.
In that view of the matter, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case disposes of the writ petition with a direction that in case petitioner files an application stating the grounds for early disposal of R.P. Case No. 447 of 2012 stated to be pending before opposite party no.1-Commissioner of Land Records and Settlement, Odisha, Cuttack,, he shall do well to consider and dispose of the same expeditiously and take follow up action.
