The petitioner being in custody in connection with Chauliaganj P.S. Case No. 08 of 2019 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 49 of 2019 on the file of learned J.M.F.C. (City), Cuttack running for alleged commission of offence under section 498-A/302/109/120-B/34 of the IPC, has filed this application under section 439 of Cr.P.C for his release on bail.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State as well as learned counsel appearing for the informant.
Considering the submissions made and keeping in view the role said to have been played by the petitioner relating to the incident as those emanate from the materials on record as also the seriousness of the allegations as well as the other surrounding circumstances, at this stage, I am not inclined to accept the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.
The BLAPL is accordingly dismissed. Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
