The petitioner files this writ application seeking for a direction to opp. par
ties to release Grant-in-Aid in favour of the petitioner with effect from 1.6.1997 in accordan
ce with the Grant-in-Aid order of 1994 keeping in view the ratio decided in the case of Praful
la Kumar Sahoo vs. State of Orissa and others: 2003(1) OLR 91 and Chita Ranjan Mohapatra and o
thers vs. State of Orissa & others (W.P.(C) No. 2617 of 2005).
Mr. Swain, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that highlighting the gr
ievance, the petitioner has made a representation to opposite party no. 1 vide Annexure-3 and
no decision has yet been taken.
In view of the aforesaid limited grievance of the petitioner, without expressi
ng any opinion on the merits of the contentions raised, this Court disposes of the writ petiti
on directing opposite party no. 1 to dispose of the representation stated to have been filed b
y the petitioner vide Annexure-3 within a period of eight months from the date of communicatio
n of this order.
Requisites for communication of this order to opp. party no. 1 shall be filed
within a week.
