The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the order dated 16.7.1997 pass
ed by the Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack in O.A. No. 857(C) of 1997 in
not giving appointment in the post of Junior Clerk in Subarnarekha Irrigation Project.

Case of the petitioner is that on the basis of advertisement published on 24.9.1991 fo
r recruitment of Junior Clerks from amongst the inhabitants of Subarnarekha Irrigation Project
, he has offered his candidature for the same.

The advertisement was of the year 1991. During pendency of the writ petition, the peti
tioner is age bar to enter into the Government service. By efflux of time, the application has
become infructuous.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
