In this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the opp. partie
s to pay the ex-gratia assistance to her as per the declaration of the Central Government as w
ell as State Government keeping in view of the letter dated 24.09.2004 of the Honble Prime Min
ister for the death of her brothers, namely, Kanhei See and Khokan See, S/O: Late Srikant See
in the impact of Super Cyclone, 1999.
During course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though highl
ighting her grievances, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 12.02.2015 before opp
. party No.2 vide Annexure-7, till date, the same has not been disposed of. Accordingly, he pr
ayed that a direction may be given to the opposite party No.2 to dispose of the said represent
ation within a stipulated time.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of t
he case, this Court directs the opposite party No.2 to dispose of the representation filed by
the petitioner on 12.02.2015 vide Annexure-7 within a period of three months from the date of
production of the certified copy of this order by passing a reasoned order in accordance with
law.
This Court further directs the petitioner to produce the certified copy of this order
before opp. party No.2 along with the representation filed by her as at Annexure-7 in order to
expedite disposal of the same.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
