Advocate.

 The petitioner was working as lecturer in Oriya (2nd post) in the Braja Sundar
 Higher Secondary School, Jajpur. The person holding the 1st post of lecturer in Oriya has res
igned in the meantime. Therefore, the Principal of the said school has written to the Director
, Higher Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar to elevate the petitioner as lecturer in Oriya from 2n
d post to 1st post on 15.07.2016, as at Annexure-5. However, as yet no decision has been taken
 thereon.

 In that view of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the merits of th
e claim of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing opposite party no.2 to t
ake a decision on Annexure-5 within a period of 21 days, after affording reasonable opportunit
y of personal hearing to the petitioner, by a reasoned order.

 The petitioner undertakes to file a certified copy of this order and a copy of
 the brief before the opposite party no.2 within fifteen days.
 Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
