1.9.2015 Sole grievance of the petitioner in this case is that in spite
of the order dated 1.8.2014 having been passed by the Collector, Khurda in Misc.Case No.1 of
2013 the authorities are not concluding selection process for engagement of Anganwadi Worker f
or Sriram Nagar,Ward No.16, Additional Anganwadi Centre in spite the representation having bee
n made in this regard before the authorities.
It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in te
rms of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.18382 of 2012 the petitioner has filed rep
resentation before the Collector and the Collector has directed the concerned C.D.P.O. to fix
up the coverage area of the Anganwadi Centre as per the government guideline and to take neces
sary steps to fill up the vacant post of Anganwadi Workers with due procedure, said order havi
ng been passed on 1.8.2014 but no decision has yet been taken.
In view of the limited grievance, the writ petition is disposed of dir
ecting the Collector, Khurda to look into the matter as to why direction passed on 1.8.2014 ha
s not yet been complied with. While looking into the matter the Collector will conduct an enq
uiry as to why decision has not been taken even after lapse of one year and also to take actio
n on the erring officer after fixing accountability for whose fault vacancy has not yet been f
illed up as yet.
Accordingly, Collector, Khurda is directed to take decision as indicat
ed herein above within four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order whi
ch shall be presented by the petitioner.
