This Original Application (OA) has been registered on the basis of the letter petition sent by one Sunil Jain, General Secretary, RWA, D Block, Anand Vihar, Delhi. In this OA, the applicant has made an allegation about illegally operating open dhalao (garbage collection point) in the vicinity of Vivekanand School, Anand Vihar, Delhi – 110092. The applicant alleges that this dhalao is causing the environmental issue and creating health hazard since foul smell is emitting from this dhalao which is not properly maintained.

Along with the letter petition the applicant has also enclosed a copy of the complaint dated 31.07.2025 which was addressed to the Chairman, Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

Once a complaint has been made to the DPCC the same is required to be duly looked into and on spot inspection if it is found that the dhalao is not properly maintained and is illegally operating the expeditious requisite action is required to be taken by the DPCC.

Hence, we dispose of the OA directing the Member Secretary, DPCC to duly consider the complaint dated 31.07.2025 made by the applicant and take appropriate action in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order keeping in view the observation made above.

Let a copy of this order along with a copy of the complaint be forwarded to the Member Secretary, DPCC by the registry of the Tribunal.
