The only issue which was surviving in this matter relates to utilization of environmental compensation i.e., Rs. 1,50,000/- by Delhi Jal Board (hereinafter referred to as ‘DJB’ ). DPCC proposed utilization of said amount through Delhi Jal Board by requiring to transmit the said amount and Delhi Jal Board is required to construct rain water harvesting pit at the appropriate place.

Today a Report dated 16.07.2024 has been filed by DJB, stating that for construction of rain water harvesting pit at Ashoka Niketa, necessary permission taken from Residents Welfare Association and after inviting tenders, work has also been allotted which is likely to be completed by 14.08.2024.

Learned Counsel appearing for DJB stated that more than 30% percent work has already completed and remaining work shall be completed by the time mentioned in action taken report.

In view thereof, we find it appropriate to dispose of this Original Application by directing DJB to complete work as per statement given in action taken report dated 16.07.2024 and submit compliance report within 15 days after completion of work, and in any case, by 15.09.2024, with Registrar General of this Tribunal. If any further order is required to be passed in the matter, Registrar General shall place the matter before the Bench.

With the above observations/directions, this Original Application is disposed of.
