In compliance of the order dated 26.07.2023 passed in O.A. No. 59/2023 (CZ) the Joint Committee submitted the report with following conclusions :

i. MCG installed a bitumen drum and patch repairing material storage under AG Office Bridge.

¶15

ii. No bitumen material mixing work is carried out at this site.

¶16

iii. This site is used only as material transfer station. Occasionally the path repairing material like WMM, Stone Metal, Murrum etc. are stored here in small quantity. The stored material is supplied time to time from here to the road patches repairing spots as and when required.

iv. There is no public road passes from this patch repairing material storage area. This is the dead end spot. So there is no obstruction to the traffic movement due to this storage area.

v. There is a four meter high barrier wall between material storage area and petitioner house. Also these are about 40 meter apart. So chances of generation of air and noise pollution due to occasional activities of material handling are not fund considerable.

It is further submitted that this practice of storage and transportation is occasional and the Municipal Corporation has developed it at its own storage area. This is a public place and are being utilised for the public purposes for repair of the road. Nothing substantial has been raised to intervene in the matter. No further action is required.

Miscellaneous Application No. 02 of 2024(CZ) stands disposed of accordingly.
