This appeal has been filed under section 16 read with section 18 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 challenging the order of the Punjab Pollution Control Board dated 26.09.2024 passed under section 33 (A) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 revoking the consent to operate granted to CETP of 40 MLD capacity at Jamalpur Awana, Ludhiana.

Issue notice in Appeal No. 51/2024 and I.A. No. 657/2024 to the respondents. The appellant is directed to serve the respondents and file the affidavit of service. Respondents are directed to file their response/reply by way of affidavit through e-filing. If any respondent directly files the reply/affidavit without routing it through his advocate then the said respondent will remain virtually present to assist the Tribunal.

I.A. No. 658/2024 is an application seeking exemption from filing the translated copies of the annexures. If the appellant intent to rely upon those annexures for which this application has been filed, he will be required to place it on record. With the said condition, I.A. No. 658/2024 is allowed.

It has been pointed out that there are other appeals involving the same issue in respect of different CETP’s of the same area which are pending before the Tribunal and are listed on 23.12.2024.
