10.09.2026: This appeal is preferred seeking an extension of time for

payment of costs of ₹ 12 lakhs and also submission of annual returns, which the learned NCLT has directed by this order dated 24.10.2024. According to the appellant, he could not mobilize the cost amount. Therefore, he preferred an application for extension of time before the learned NCLT in IA No. 269/2025,

and that was ordered on 31.10.2025. Pursuant to the same, 30 days time was

allowed with effect from 24.10.2025, granting the appellant 30 days time to comply its earlier order. Again, there was default.

The appellant therefore moved IA No. 134/2026 for further extension of time, and this time the learned NCLT lost patience and dismissed it.

Trusting our patience, the appellant has approached us with this appeal, for seeking an extension of time. Since it is the first time we encounter this case, there is still time left for us to lose patience. For the present, we allow this application, granting appellant two weeks' time to comply with the condition, but subject to the condition that he pays a cost of ₹ 1 Lakh and that be paid to the Adyar Cancer Institute. Appeal disposed. Report compliance.
