[1] Mr. Deepak Prasad Sahu, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appeared on behalf of the respondents.
[2] By an order dated 06-02-2026, the present writ petition has been referred for mediation for exploring the possibility of an amicable settlement of the dispute between the parties.
[3] After rounds of mediations, a Mediation Report dated 31-08-2026 was submitted by the Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court of Manipur, under cover of a letter dated 01-09-2026 with the remark “Mediation is Successful”. A scanned copy of the Settlement Report dated 31-08-2026 containing the Terms of Settlement between the parties are reproduced hereunder:-

[4] Both the counsel appearing for the parties submitted that the present writ petition can be disposed of in terms of the said agreement arrived at between the parties.
[5] Considering the submission made by both the counsel appearing for the parties and the Terms of Settlement arrived at between the parties, this court is of the considered view that the present writ petition can be disposed of. Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the present writ petition is hereby disposed of in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties. It is also made clear that the Terms of Settlement arrived at between the parties will be part and parcel of this order.
With the aforesaid directions and observations, the present writ petition is disposed of.
