Heard Mr. Mosen Angam Pao, learned counsel appearing

for the petitioners and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

[2] In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the motion stage.

[3] At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that for redressing grievances raised by the petitioners in this writ petition, they have already approached the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Government of Manipur (respondent No. 1) by submitting a representation dated

06-05-2026 , and that the said representation is still pending for consideration and disposal. The leaned counsel submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the respondent No. 1 to consider the said representation dated 06-05-2026 , on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order within a stipulated period.

[4] Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is limited to the consideration and disposal of the said representation submitted by them, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for on behalf of the petitioners.

[5] Considering the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners, this Court is of the considered view that it will served the interests of justice to issue the following directions :-

(i) The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Government of Manipur (respondent No. 1) is hereby directed to consider the said representation dated 06-05-2026 submitted by the petitioners on its own

merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order.

(ii) The whole process for consideration and disposal of the said representation should be completed within a period of 3(three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

(iii) The respondent No. 1, is further, directed to furnish a copy of the order passed in connection with the said representation to one of the petitioners within a period of 3(three) weeks from the date of issuance of such an order.

(iv) It is made clear that the aforesaid directions have been issued without touching the merit of the writ petition and that the respondent No. 1 is at liberty to pass any appropriate order in accordance with law.

[6] With the aforesaid directions and observations, the present writ petition is disposed of.
