[2] By an order dated 26-03-2026, this matter was referred to the Mediation Centre, High Court of Manipur, for exploring the possibility of an amicable settlement of the dispute between the parties.
[3] After rounds of mediation, the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement and a Settlement Agreement was executed on 31-08-2026, which has been furnished by the Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court of Manipur, under cover of a letter dated 10-09-2026. A scanned copy of the Terms of Settlement arrived at between the parties are reproduced as under:-

[4] All the counsel appearing for the parties jointly submitted that the present writ petition can be disposed of in terms of the Settlement arrived at between the parties.

[5] In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on careful examination of the Settlement Agreement as well as the Terms of Settlement arrived at between the parties, this court is of the considered view that the present writ petition can be disposed of in terms of the Settlement arrived at between the parties. Accordingly, it is hereby directed that the present writ petition is disposed of in terms of the Settlement arrived at between the parties and that the parties will be bound by the Terms of Settlement arrived at amongst themselves.
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.
