Ms. Julekha Khan, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the applicants ; Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appeared on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and Mr. S. Suresh, learned counsel appeared on behalf of respondent No. 5 through VC platform.

The present application has been filed by the applicants with a prayer for advancing the hearing of the connected writ petition being WP(C) No. 430 of 2024, which was directed to be listed on 23-11-2026.

The learned counsel appearing for the applicants submitted that all the applicants are all retired persons and they filed the writ petition for issuing a direction to the respondents to release their pensionary benefits. It has also been submitted that as the claim made by the petitioners is with regard to payment of pensionary benefits, urgent hearing of the said writ petition is required to mitigate the hardship faced

by the present applicants. The learned counsel, accordingly, prays for allowing the present application.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Court is satisfied that the present application deserves to be allowed.

Accordingly, the present application is hereby allowed.

Registry is directed to list the connected WP(C) No. 430 of 2024 on 29-09-2026 instead of 23-11-2026.
