This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order

Tiruchirappalli District, by reconsidering the petitioner’s representation dated 26.08.2025.

The petitioner claims to be the Mutawalli of T.K. Ibrahim Shah Rowther Ramzan Charity Trust, Tiruchirappalli. According to the petitioner, an objection was raised before the authorities with regard to registration of documents relating to the subject property.

However, it is not in dispute that the Wakf Board has stated that the subject property is not a Wakf property. When the Wakf Board itself has no objection and has clarified that the property does not belong to any Wakf, the petitioner, in his capacity as Mutawalli, cannot seek to restrain the registration authorities from registering documents in respect of the said property.

If the petitioner claims any independent right, title or interest

over the property, it is always open to him to approach the competent Civil Court and establish such right in the manner known to law. The writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India cannot be invoked to decide disputed questions of title.
