The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to register the house bearing Door No. 47, LIG Colony, Virudhunagar, Virudhunagar District, in the name of the petitioner by considering her representation dated 24.06.2024.

In the said representation, the petitioner has stated that she was allotted the said house on 25.04.1974, vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A8/6349/77, by the respondent under the Lower Income Group scheme.

The petitioner further states that she has paid the entire amount towards the allotment of the house to the respondent Municipality. However, the respondent has not come forward to register the house in her name.
