The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to execute the sewage water drainage construction near Naduvanur Pallivasal, Avitchipatti Panchayat, Natham Panchayat Union, as permitted by the first respondent, by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 10.12.2025.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted a communication issued by the Block Development Officer, Natham, in Na.Ka.No.765/2026/A7, dated 13.04.2026. 3.The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that, as per

the said communication, though the proposed sewage drainage work has already been planned and administrative sanction has been accorded under the 15th Finance Commission grant for the year 2025–2026, to the tune of Rs.3.00 lakhs, and steps are being taken to execute the work in full, the same could not be proceeded with due to objections raised, including by the petitioner and other villagers. Further, a proposal has been sent to the competent authority for the construction of a small bridge. It is also stated that the work will be completed within a period of six months from the date of commencement, subject to administrative procedures.

4.Recording the aforesaid submission, we direct the authority concerned to complete the proposed work within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner as well as other villagers shall extend their full cooperation for the execution of the said work.
