The prayer in the petition is to quash the impugned order passed by the first respondent in No. RO/TRY 533/2025-G1 dated 13.12.2025 and direct the first respondent to grant 21 days ordinary leave without police escort to the petitioner's son namely Saravanan, S/o.Balasubramani, aged about 33 years , Life Convict Prisoner PID No.256075 confined at Central Prison, Trichy

It is the case of the petitioner that his son was convicted by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Karur in S.C.No.7 of 2021 and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment for the offence under Section 302 of IPC. Aggrieved over the same, the convict has filed an appeal before this Court in Crl.A(MD) No.312 of 2023 and the same was dismissed. The son of the petitioner is languishing in jail for more than three years. Therefore the

petitioner being father of the convict submitted representation seeking 21 days ordinary leave for his son on the ground that already the wife of the petitioner has undergone knee surgery and a plate has been fixed on her knee, therefore in order to remove the same, the petitioner seeks 21 days ordinary leave for his son. However, it was rejected on the ground that the Probation Officer has submitted adverse remarks. That apart the petitioner is very much available to look after his wife. Further it seems that the wife of the petitioner has already undergone knee surgery and now to remove the plate fixed at the time of operation the petitioner has sought for ordinary leave for his son, therefore this Court finds no reason to interfere with the order passed by the first respondent.

Hence the petition stands dismissed. However the petitioner is at liberty to seek any emergency leave by producing the authorized medical certificate obtained from the Government Hospital.
