Mr.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor assisted by Mr.M.Sylvester John, learned Advocate accepts notice for the respondents and has obtained instructions enabling us to dispose this Writ Petition, even today, by consent expressed by both learned counsel.

The prayer of the petitioner, father of the life convict Mr.Sundaralingam, S/o Velayutham (convict), aged 44 years presently confined in Central Prison, Palayamkottai, is for a mandamus seeking pre-mature release of the convict. His representation is dated 17.07.2025.

Mr.Muniyapparaj accedes to the receipt of representation and states that it is under consideration. The petitioner has also relied upon G.O. (Ms.)No.488 of 2021 dated 15.11.2021 and G.O.(Ms.)No.508 dated 18.11.2021 in support of his plea for pre-mature release of the convict.
