The petitioner in W.P.No.9951 of 2011 is stated to have passed away on 29.11.2019. The prayer in her Writ Petition is for a mandamus directing the respondent, Director of Elementary Education to consider her representation dated 12.02.2009 and pay salary for the period from 11.07.2008 to 27.04.2009.

2.We are given to understand that the learned counsel is unable to obtain instructions in the matter from the legal heirs. Hence, W.P.No.9951 of 2011

stands closed leaving it open to the legal heirs of Mrs.G.Ponnarasi to pursue the matter with the respondents, if they are so inclined.

3.As far as the Writ Appeals are concerned, they had been filed by the Secretary and Correspondent of the Vallalar Arivalayam Elementary School challenging order dated 26.08.2009.

4.The challenge in the Writ Petitions is to proceedings of the appellant dated 10.07.2008 and for a consequential direction to permit the Writ Petitioner to continue as Headmistress of the Vallalar Arivalayam Elementary School.

The Writ Petitions had been allowed on 26.08.2009 permitting Mrs.G.Ponnarasi to continue as a Headmistress. She has, in the meantime, not just retired but also passed on. Learned counsel, for his part has no arguments to put forth, and we are hence of the considered view that nothing further survives in this matter as on date.

6.Recording the aforesaid, the Writ Appeals are dismissed. No costs.
