The Writ Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide Low Tension Domestic Electricity Service Connection to the petitioners house by considering the petitioners’ applications.

The petitioners are the resident of Thiruporur, Chengalpattu. The subject property is an unobjectionable Natham poramboke land. The petitioner has also made representation to the revenue officials seeking issuance of patta and the same is pending. While so, the petitioners have submitted several representations before the 2^nd respondent requesting to provide Low Tension Domestic Electricity Service Connection to the subject property, whereas the said representations were rejected on the ground that the subject property is an natham poramboke land. The petitioners on knowing that this Court in a catena of judgments directed the TANGEDCO to provide electricity service connection to the applicants who are in possession of poromboke land, had once again submitted an applications to the 2^nd respondent for electricity connection. Since the said applications are still pending, the petitioners are constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

Considering the limited request made by the petitioners, this Court

without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to

¶43

consider the application of the petitioner in W.P.No.6394/2026 dated 10.02.20226 and the application of the petitioner in W.P.NO.6396 of 2026, dated 11.02.2026 on merits and in accordance with law and pass a speaking order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
