The petitioner asserts that cancellation deed dated 21.08.2013 was unlawfully executed and registered. After submitting representation dated 06.01.2026 in this regard, the petitioner seeks disposal thereof.

Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation and that, therefore, no purpose would be served by directing consideration of the petitioner’s representation.

The petitioner’s representation pertains to the cancellation of cancellation deed dated 21.08.2013. As contended by learned Government Advocate, the registering officer does not have the power to cancel the registered cancellation deed.
