ORDER

The writ petition is filed to direct the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2025 and consequently to protect the petitioner and her property in S.No.352/10 admeasuring 23.465 Cents situated at Anaikudam, Udaiyarpalaiyam Taluk, Ariyalur District from the third respondent.

The writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage without notice to the private respondents 3 to 5. It is made clear that this Court is not rendering any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.

Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, it can be seen that the petitioner had made an application to the second respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, complaining that even though she has been allotted a share in the partition suit, the private respondents, being her daughter-in-law/third respondent through her second son Senthil Kumar (since deceased) and others, are attempting to dispossess her, have unleashed violence on her and are threatening her life. Being a senior citizen, she is unable to live in her own property with dignity and hence seeks appropriate orders under the Act.

Considering the grievance expressed in the representation, the writ petition stands disposed of with the following direction:

The second respondent shall take up the application dated 26.12.2025 for enquiry. Due notice to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 3 to 5 and any other persons interested shall be issued and after hearing them in accordance with law, a final order shall be passed as expeditiously as possible, in any event within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the web copy of this order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
