ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents No.1 and 2 to consider the Petitioners representation dated 25.12.2025 in the matter of Promotion to the Post of Join Director of Medical Education (Nursing), Chennai, on merits and in accordance with law,more particularly as per Rule 36 Tamilnadu state and Subordinate Service Rules within a reasonable time.

It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as Nurse in the year 1994 and he was promoted as Principal, College of Nursing, Government Chengalpet Medical College, Chengalpet on 2023 and he is the senior most person in the panel at Sl.No.273 issued by the second respondent on 03.11.2025. However, he was not given promotion to Joint Director Medical Education, Nursing. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents for promotion based on the seniority and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.12.2025

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
