Madras High Court (D. Bharatha Chakravarthy J., 19-01-2026), WP No. 41553 of 2025: Three petitioners (students) filed a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the impugned finding in the One Man Enquiry Committee's report dated 17.10.2025 given by the third respondent (R. Singaravelan, Senior Advocate) and the consequent show cause notice dated 25.10.2025 issued by the first respondent (Dean, School of Excellence in Law, Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University) vide Proc.No.3506/SOEL/UG/S1/2025, served on 27.10.2025, and to restrain disciplinary action. When the matter came up for hearing, the Court was informed that pursuant to the report, final orders were passed on 06.01.2026 reprimanding the students; the Court held that nothing further survives in the original prayer.
