Prayer : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 3^rd Respondent, not to register any of the documents presented with respect to. S.Nos. 291, 293/1, 279 and 284 situated in the Chennathur (South) Village, Sub Registration District of Hosur and Registration District of Krishnagiri without following the procedures prescribed in the Registration Act, 1908 by considering the petitioners’ representations dated 06.09.2024 and 09.09.2024.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the third respondent not to register any of the documents presented for registration in respect of the property comprised in S.Nos.291, 293/1, 279 and 284 situated at Chennathur (South) Village, Hosur.

2 . The petitioners entered into a sale deed for the purchase of the subject property and purchased the same vide document Nos.14425 and 10270 of 2019 dated 21.08.2019 and 03.06.2019 respectively. Thereafter, in order to develop the property, the petitioners executed a Power of Attorney in favour of one S.Chockalingam vide document No.15231 of 2020 dated 20.11.2020. However, subsequently, the petitioners cancelled the said Power of Attorney executed in favour of S.Chockalingam on 13.09.2024, which was registered vide document No.17775 of 2024. Therefore, the petitioners submitted a representation before the third respondent not to register any documents in respect of the subject property.

3 . A perusal of the counter affidavit filed by the third respondent reveals that, after cancellation of the power of attorney, no documents were registered in respect of the subject property. Further, after execution of the power of attorney, several sale deeds were already executed in favour of third parties, who have been impleaded as respondents 7 to 25 in this writ petition.

4 . In view of the above, the third respondent is directed not to register

any documents in respect of remaining properties comprised in S.Nos.291, 293/1, 279 and 284 situated at Chennathur (South) Village, Hosur. It is made clear that

the purchase who had purchased the properties prior to the cancellation of the power of attorney can deal with their properties in accordance with law.

5 . With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
