Mr. P. Siddarth, learned Government Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent. Dr. T. Seenivasan, learned counsel, accepts notice for the second respondent.

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the second respondent not to discharge storm water or drainage water through the petitioner’s property comprised in Survey Nos. 217, 216 and 263

situated at Poonamallee Village, and to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 10.01.2026.

The petitioner contends that the respondents are unlawfully diverting excess storm water and drainage water into his property using JCB machinery, resulting in flooding, water logging and structural damage. According to the petitioner, despite submitting the representation dated 10.01.2026, no action has been taken by the respondents.

The learned Government Counsel, on instructions, submits that the petitioner’s representation will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within such time as may be stipulated by this Court.

Recording the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 10.01.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to all affected parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
