ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to respondents to consider petitioner’s representations dated 21.11.2025 and 04.04.2026 and consequently, direct respondent to execute and register sale deed in favour of petitioner in respect of property comprised in Plot No.80, Door No. 2/63, situated at Gangai Amman Koil Street, Kamarajapuram, Velachery, Chennai 42.

Petitioner’s father died testate on 04.06.2009, leaving behind a Will dated 17.03.2006 and a Codicil dated 07.02.2009 in favour of petitioner in respect of aforementioned property. After the demise of petitioner’s father, petitioner has been in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the said property. Probate Certificate was also issued in petitioner’ name on 29.09.2025. Petitioner submitted representations dated 21.11.2025 and 04.04.2026 to respondents seeking execution of sale deed in his favour with respect to said property. The said representations are still pending.

Learned Standing Counsel for respondents would submit that petitioner

ought to submit original documents, which is yet to be done. In any view, he

would submit that petitioner’s representations dated 21.11.2025 and 04.04.2026 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioner.

4. In view thereof, it is open to petitioner to submit requisite documents within a period of two weeks from today. Respondent authority shall consider petitioner’s representations dated 21.11.2025 and 04.04.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner, and any other interested party, within a period of two weeks from the date of submission of requisite documents by petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case.

5. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
