(1) Mr.B.Sivakollapan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(2) By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

(3) A perusal of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition reveals that without any demand and refusal, the petitioner has come to this Court straight away seeking a mandamus with the following prayer:-

‘’Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to forbear the respondents herein from encroaching upon the public pathway in Survey No. 51 at Kallabiranpuram village, Madurantakam Taluk, in the guise of constructing Chief Minister Mini stadium.’’
