This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to

provide a new temporary EB Service connection to the petitioner’s land in SF No.565/2A2, Belathi Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District by considering his Online Application dated 25.12.2025 (Appln Ref.No.2000314612251776) and the order dated 24.06.2026 made in Lr.No.AE/E/KA/Ko.Vi/A No.116/26 issued by the 3rd respondent with police aid from the respondents 4 and 5.

Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that this is the second round of litigation. Earlier, 6^th respondent file a Writ Petition in W.P.No.11688 of 2026 to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from granting electricity service connection to the petitioner herein. This Court had directed the third respondent

to conduct enquiry with petitioner and other aggrieved parties and pass appropriate orders. Pursuant thereto, third respondent passed an order dated 24.06.2026, wherein, permission was granted to provide service connection for

the petitioner’s land. Despite the above order of third respondent, service connection has not been granted till date, in view of the fact that there has been resistance by the sixth respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the respondents 1 to 3 would provide electricity service connection to the petitioner’s land within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The respondents 1 to 3 are directed to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner’s land within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. It is open to the petitioner to seek police protection, if needed. If any such request is made for police protection, the same would be considered and adequate police protection would also be extended by the respondents 4 and 5. No costs.
