This writ petition is filed seeking to quash the order of the 2^nd respondent in TB/ TAM/RECY/522/TBTAM1569390000/CP1/2025-26, dated 22.07.2025 and consequently direct the respondents to conduct a fresh inquiry for determination of dues by affording an opportunity of hearing and to decide the Employees Provident fund dues for the period 01.08.2018 to 01.06.2019 afresh.

The case of the petitioner that the company viz., M/s. Sri Murgan Stores, where the petitioner is a partner was closed in the year 2023 and several payments were made till the closure of the business premises. However, the impugned notice dated 22.07.2025 was issued seeking remittance of Provident Fund dues from 01.08.2018 to 01.06.2019, but all the outstanding amounts have already been paid.

In this circumstance, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to look into the documents filed by the petitioner and thereafter proceed with any recovery or attachment. In this connection, the petitioner shall appear before the concerned authority within a period of ten days from today.

There shall be no coercive steps against the petitioner by the respondent for a period of 15 days from today.
