By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner’s representation dated 14.05.2026 and to issue legal Heirship Certificate based upon the application dated 06.03.2026 in TN-720260306102.

At the outset, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that pursuant to petitioner's online application dated 06.03.2026, certain particulars were sought from petitioner. However, according to the learned Government Counsel, there has been no cooperation from petitioner and he could not be reached.

Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that petitioner is ready

and willing to cooperate with the enquiry. It is submitted that since he is residing in Canada, he was unable to appear in person before the concerned

authorities. It is further submitted that petitioner would appear through video conferencing and that his authorized representative would appear in person before the concerned respondent and furnish all the requisite particulars sought for by the respondents.

In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to petitioner to appear through video conferencing while his authorised representative shall appear in person before the concerned respondent and furnish the requisite particulars sought for by the respondents on 01.07.2026 at 11.00 a.m. On such particulars being furnished, the respondents shall consider petitioner's online application dated 06.03.2026 on its own merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order . It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views o n the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
