The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents to refund Rs.10,00,000/- payable to the petitioner towards refundable security deposit in the account of the petitioner’s Solar Power HTSC No.069514420024.

The petitioner had approached the respondents for establishing the 1

MW Solar Power Plant under TNERC's order. The petitioner had paid necessary charges including the security deposit which is refundable. The Solar Power Plant bearing HTSC No.069514420024 was commissioned on 26.03.2022 itself and the same was certified by the respondents vide their letter dated 06.05.2022. Thereafter, the petitioner had sent several representations to the respondents claiming refund of security deposit of Rs.10,00,000/-. But the same was not considered to date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
