This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for cancellation of patta

now standing in the name of the 4 th respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for restoration of patta in the name of the petitioner for the said property, based on the petitioner’s representation, dated 15.10.2025.

According to the petitioner, erroneously and illegally, the patta, which was earlier standing in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, was cancelled by the revenue authorities and was issued in favour of the 4 th respondent. The petitioner seeks for cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the 4 th respondent and for restoration of the patta in her name for the subject property. The petitioner had given a representation to the official respondents on 15.10.2025 for the said purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts

notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse order is passed against the 4 th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 4 th respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

4. No prejudice would be caused to any of the respondents, if the petitioner’s representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the 4 th respondent as well as any other third party, whom the 2 nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2 nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner’s representation, dated 15.10.2025 seeking for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the 4 th respondent for the property morefully

described in the prayer to this writ petition, and for restoration of patta in the name of the petitioner for the very same property, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the objections, if any, from the 4 th respondent, and any other third party, whom the 2 nd respondent deems it fit to enquire.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
