Pavithra, had filed a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash G.O.(4D)No.01, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (M.E.3) Department, dated 07.01.2025, insofar as it prescribed a 3:2:5 ratio for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer as between the Municipal Council, other Corporations and the Greater Chennai Corporation, along with the consequential rotation, and to direct fixation of promotion seniority strictly by date of joining as per Rule 192(A) 1 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023.
