This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2024 in the light of the Circular dated 13.04.2026 vide Lr.No.1237/COE/C2/2026, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a Law College student of Government Law College, Chengalpattu and was admitted in the academic year 2019-2022. When the petitioner applied for the examination, unfortunately his registration number has been blocked by the University and College, which severely affected his academic progress. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said blockage was done without affording any opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. According to the petitioner he appeared on last May 2025 and his Registration No.319L1592, but unfortunately, he has not cleared the papers and have failed in the attempt. The petitioner submitted a representation on 24.04.2026 and appeared before the Law University personally and he was assured that within 4 hours, his portal will be opened and he would be able to fill in his application, but till date, it has been blocked by the 2nd respondent. Hence, left with no other alternative, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court with the present writ petition.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing anything on merits, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 07.12.2024 and 24.04.2026 in the light of the Circular dated 13.04.2026 vide Lr.No.1237/COE/C2/2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
