The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the second respondent in his proceedings No.A2/1879/2023, dated 30.05.2023 and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service along with backwages, all attendant benefits and other monetary benefits together with continuity of service to the petitioner.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as Village Assistant and was posted in the Office of the Koothapakkam Village Administrative Office, Cuddalore District. On 29.05.2023, one Selvakumar came to the Village Administrative Office and handed over a sum of Rs.5,000/- to the petitioner by saying that the Taluk Surveyor one Panjanathan asked him to hand over the said amount as loan but the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Police came and arrested the petitioner and thereafter

3.Per contra, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that pursuant to the suspension order, the respondents initiated disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner and issued charge memo dated 21.02.2023 under Rule 17(b) of Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules and thereafter one Durairajan, Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Cuddalore was appointed as Enquiry Officer vide proceedings of the second respondent dated 28.04.2025 and further submitted that the disciplinary proceedings will be concluded within a reasonable time and further submitted that the petitioner is involved in corruption case and hence reinstatement is not permissible one.

4.The petitioner is alleged to have been involved in corruption case and hence reinstatement is not permissible one. The petitioner was suspended from service as early as on 30.05.2023. Hence, this Court directs the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
