This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4

to curb the alleged illegal operation of the 6 th and 7 th respondents buses in the route Tiruppur to Erode forthwith.

2. Mr.M.Shahjahan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts

notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 5 th respondent.

3. The petitioner claims that he has been granted a valid route

¶35

permit to operate his buses by the respondents for the route Tiruppur to Erode. According to the petitioner, though the respondents 6 and 7 having route permits for their buses only from Coimbatore to Sathyamangalam, they are operating their vehicles illegally in the route Tiruppur to Erode. The petitioner had given representations on 19.02.2026 and 14.03.2026 to the respondents 1 to 4 requesting them to prevent the illegal operation of the buses by the respondents 6 and 7 in the route Tiruppur to Erode. Since the said representations have not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, would submit that based on the petitioner’s representations, enquiry is being conducted by the 1 st respondent.

5. No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties, if the petitioner’s representations as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after the petitioner as well as the respondents 6 and

7 are granted an opportunity of hearing by the 1 st respondent, within a

time frame to be fixed by this Court. Since no adverse order is passed against the respondents 6 and 7 in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 6 and 7 is dispensed with by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by

directing the 1 st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representations, dated 19.02.2026 and 14.03.2026 seeking to curb the alleged illegal operation of the 6 th and 7th respondents buses morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, in the route Tiruppur to Erode, after hearing the objections of the respondents 6 and 7, and after giving due consideration to the supporting documentary evidence produced by the respective parties, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
