This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner forbearing the respondents from granting electricity service connection in respect of the property in dispute by considering his representations.

Case of the petitioner is that the petitioner’s father Rangasamy Gounder along with his elder brother had purchased lands totally measuring 5.92 acres under a registered Sale Deed and thereafter, an extent of 2.88 acres was allotted to his father and the patta was also issued in his favour. The petitioner’s father executed a registered Settlement Deed in favour of the petitioner and his brother settling the lands. While so, the 4^th respondent, forging the petitioner’s thumb impression, had fraudulently obtained subdivisions and secured patta in their favour. The Suits are also pending between the parties for the subject property. However in order to conduct survey and boundary fixation, the petitioner approached this Court by filing W.P.No.4835 of 2026, whereby

this Court directed the RDO, Coimbatore to conduct an enquiry and pass orders. While the matter stood thus, the 4^th respondent without any lawful entitlement and by suppressing the pending proceedings, attempted to obtain electricity service connection, for which the petitioner also submitted a representation dated 15.11.2025 to the 1^st respondent raising objections. Since steps are being taken to grant electricity service connection, this writ petition is filed by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the pending enquiry as per the order dated 10.02.2026 in W.P.No.4835 of 2026, no final order has been passed and steps are being taken to grant electricity service connection. Hence, it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to conclude the enquiry.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs

the third respondent to conduct enquiry between the petitioner and other aggrieved persons and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and till such time, the respondents are

directed not to effect service connection in respect of the disputed property.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall

be no order as to costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
