Mr.R.Gowtaman, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to

the passage of time and having regard to the counter affidavit filed by the 3^rd respondent on 23.06.2016, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration.

2.In view of the aforesaid submission, and since the 3^rd respondent in their counter affidavit has asserted that the petitioner was selected against the vacancy notified in the year 2011, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
