The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a direction to respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026 with regard to the encroachment/ unauthorised use in the premises at Sara Apartments, No.19, Kennedy Square, First Cross Street, Sembium, Chennai 600011 and take immediate action against 6^th and 7^th respondents for illegal occupation and obstruction of the common terrace area, where they have installed grill gates restricting access to other residents and also causing nuisance by the pet dogs maintained by them.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that because of the aforesaid illegal occupation and obstruction of the common space in the apartment, the residents including the petitioner are facing lot of problems, nuisance, etc. He has already submitted a representation on 05.02.2026, which is still pending and no action whatsoever has been taken by the competent authority.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents/

Corporation submits that they would conduct an enquiry and take appropriate action by issuing notice to persons concerned and after hearing them, shall decide the representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, the respondents shall conduct an enquiry on the basis of the representation of the petitioner and take action in accordance with law by issuance of notice to appropriate persons and pass orders on the representation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. There shall be no order as to costs.
